Terms of Use
Last updated: November 5, 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Fervor app. By using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
1. What the app is
A daily devotional with Bible reading, studies, episodes, and prayer. The app doesn’t replace your church, pastoral counseling, or care from health professionals.
2. Subscription
- How it works: the app is a subscription, bought through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play. The price, the billing period and, when offered, the free trial are shown on the store’s purchase screen before you confirm. Payment is handled by the store, on your store account.
- Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period and you’re charged again, unless you cancel. On the App Store, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period. On Google Play, cancel before the renewal date.
- Free trial: if the store offers your account a free trial, billing starts automatically when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then (on the App Store, at least 24 hours before the trial ends).
- How to cancel: on iPhone, Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Fervor › Cancel Subscription. On Android, Google Play › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Fervor › Cancel. In the app, Me › Settings › Subscription › How to cancel shows the way. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel your subscription.
- Restore: if you already subscribed with the same store account, tap “Already subscribed? Restore” on the first screen or “Restore” on the subscription screen.
- Refunds: payments and refunds are handled by the store, under its rules (for Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com; for Google Play, at play.google.com › Order history › the order › Request a refund, with help at support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637). Your consumer rights still apply.
- Price changes: if the price changes, the store lets you know in advance, under its rules.
3. Content
- Bibles: Bible texts come from public-domain translations or translations used under license. Credits for each one are in Me › Settings › Credits and licenses.
- Studies, episodes, and audio: the app tells you when content is made with the help of artificial intelligence (“Study made with AI, with sources”, “Made with AI”, “AI-generated voice”). Studies are based on the sources listed in each study. Content may contain mistakes and doesn’t replace reading the Bible itself or your church’s teaching. If you find a mistake, use “Report a problem” (under ⋯).
- Personal use: the app and its content (text, audio, images, and video, except public-domain Bible texts and third-party material) belong to us or are used under license. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your device. Images the app lets you save or share are yours to use for non-commercial purposes.
4. Community (when available)
Features like the prayer network and challenges exist so people who use the app can pray and grow together. When you use them:
- Zero tolerance: no offensive or sexual content, no attacks on people, groups, churches, or religions, no ads, spam, chain messages, requests for money or bank details, and no political campaigning. Anyone who breaks these rules loses access to the feature.
- Automatic check: every prayer request goes through an automatic check before it goes out, which removes personal details and blocks anything that breaks these rules. Requests that suggest a risk to someone’s life are not posted or stored (they only go through the check); the person sees crisis lines right away.
- Report and block: every request has “Report” and “Block”. One report takes the request off the network at once, and our team reviews it within 24 hours. Whoever reports is not identified.
- Age: only people whose phone’s system shows they’re 18 or older can make requests. Requests that the check marks as suitable for everyone may also be read by people under 18.
- No chat: there are no messages or direct contact between people.
What is stored, for how long, and how to delete it is in the Privacy Policy.
5. Not counseling
The app doesn’t provide psychological, medical, or legal advice. If you’re in crisis or thinking about hurting yourself, get help now: in the United States, call or text 988; in an emergency, call 911. In Brazil, CVV answers 24 hours a day at 188 and at cvv.org.br; in an emergency, call 192.
6. What’s not allowed
Using the app for anything illegal, trying to get around the subscription or the app’s protections, copying or redistributing the content, reverse engineering, or using automation to access our server.
7. Changes to the app and these terms
The app may change: content and features may be added, changed, or removed. When these terms change, the date at the top changes; if the change is important, we’ll let you know in the app before it takes effect.
8. Liability
We do our best to keep the app working well and the content accurate, but the app may have bugs or be unavailable. To the extent allowed by law, we aren’t liable for indirect damages from using the app. Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.
9. Ending
You can stop using the app whenever you want (and cancel the subscription through the store). We may suspend access to community features for anyone who breaks these terms.
10. App Store and Google Play
These terms are between you and the app’s publisher, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google aren’t responsible for the app, its content, or its support. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, the App Store’s usage rules and Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula) also apply, and these terms add to it; Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries.
11. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. If you’re a consumer in Brazil, you can file a claim in the courts where you live. This doesn’t take away rights that the law where you live gives you and that can’t be waived by contract.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms: see the Contact page.
